GAT Sport is back in plant-powered protein with a different set of sources

Gat Sport Plant Protein

It was a few years ago the legacy brand GAT Sport initially entered the category of plant-based protein powder with the simply named Plant Protein. It relied on a blend of brown rice, pea, artichoke, quinoa, and coconut to provide its 20g of protein per serving, and this week, the brand is re-entering the space with a different but identically named supplement, Plant Protein.

GAT Sport’s 2023 iteration of Plant Protein provides the same 20g of protein per serving but from a different set of sources in pea, rice, pumpkin seed, and sunflower seed protein. The other macros filling out the product’s serving are lighter and leaner than GAT’s original Plant Protein, including 3.5g of fat, 3g of carbohydrates with none of that sugar, and a lean calorie count of 110.

Plant Protein is available for purchase first through GAT Sport’s online store at $44.99 for a 1.6lb tub of 25 servings, and when it comes to flavors, the brand has not held back, giving the supplement four to choose from, and none are traditional. The options for the vegan-friendly protein are Lemon Cake, Banana Nut Bread, Pancakes & Syrup, and Chocolate Hazelnut Graham Cracker.
