On many occasions, we’ve seen gaming brand G Fuel partner with video games for special edition flavors of its signature supplement, and almost all of those have been modern titles such as Diablo Immortal and Mortal Kombat 11. From time to time, the brand does wind the clock back for a more nostalgic approach and partners with classic video games, including Pac-Man and the 90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rival Battletoads.
G Fuel has done that once again this month, announcing a collaboration with an iconic video game developed by the legendary Konami and originally released all the way back in 1987. The brand has come together with the run-and-gun classic Contra to create a flavor fittingly named Rapid Fire. The taste of the product is a citrusy Mandarin Orange, and it has all of G Fuel’s usual ingredients for enhanced energy and focus.
G Fuel is going to begin taking pre-orders for its Contra collaboration on Monday of next week through its online store at gfuel.com for shipping in a couple of months, sometime in May. Like almost every flavor extension from the brand, the special edition Contra Rapid Fire G Fuel will be available in a limited Collector’s Box, which will cost $39.99 and come with a full-size tub of the supplement and a themed, full-print shaker.
