Lohilo does indeed put pieces of caramelized popcorn in its latest protein ice cream creation

Lohilo Popcorn Caramel Ice Cream

If you can cast your mind back all the way to the middle of last year in July, you may remember the creative and always delicious functional food company Lohilo shared a teaser of a new product. Based on what was in the teaser with a tub of the brand’s protein-packed ice cream, it looked as though the team at Lohilo had cooked up one of its most interesting flavors to date involving bits of popcorn in some way.

All these months later, Swedish functional powerhouse Lohilo has confirmed and released that product, introducing a Popcorn Caramel flavor of its sweet and smooth ice cream. With a name like that, you probably want an official description, and thankfully there is one. The product features a buttery popcorn-flavored ice cream with streaks of salty caramel sauce and pieces of caramelized popcorn.

The nutrition profile on a pot of Lohilo’s Popcorn Caramel ice cream starts with a strong 18g of protein, followed by 29g of carbohydrates, 18g of that sugar, 10g of fat, and a reasonable 278 calories. Being a frozen food the brand’s ice cream is not something you can order from its website, but it has extensive distribution in its home country of Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region, so expect to see it in stores soon.
