BodyTech combines a variety of sources and aminos for its plant-based protein powder

Bodytech Plant Tech Protein Powder

House brand BodyTech from the major sports nutrition retailer The Vitamin Shoppe has added a plant-based protein powder to its extensive selection of supplements. The line already has several protein products on shelves, all of which are self-explanatory in Whey Protein Isolate, the cost-effective pure whey concentrate Whey Protein, the slow digesting Micellar Casein, the high-calorie gainer Prime Mass, and the blend-style Whey Tech Pro 24.

Plant Tech is The Vitamin Shoppe and BodyTech’s vegan-friendly protein powder, bringing together a whole host of sources for a complete array of essential amino acids in pea, brown rice, mung bean, and pumpkin protein, providing 20g of protein a serving. That goes alongside reasonably lean macros elsewhere with 2g of carbohydrates, a gram of fiber and absolutely zero sugar, 2.5g of fat, and a reasonably fair calorie count of 110.

It is also worth noting that BodyTech has added a variety of free-form EAAs to Plant Tech to further support muscle protein synthesis and improve the overall balance of EAAs you get from the sources of protein. The supplement is artificially sweetened with sucralose for both its tasty-sounding flavors in Salted Caramel Donut and Banana Muffin, available over at vitaminshoppe.com at $39.99 for a bag of 24 servings. If you get in shortly, you can also get a second bag for half price, working out to $29.99 each.
