Gorilla Mind promises a real chocolate bar experience in its revamped protein snack

Gorilla Mind Revamps Its Peanut Butter Protein Bar

On its way to winning our prestigious Brand Of The Year Award for 2023, Gorilla Mind tackled many major categories and formats, including functional food, introducing its first-ever protein snack in the peanut butter-based Gorilla Peanut Butter Bar. The build and experience are similar to the original hit protein bar of this type in Marc Lobliner’s Outright Protein Bar, but Gorilla Mind steps up the protein to 21g per piece, around 30g of carbohydrates, about a third of that sugar, and a sizeable 260 calories.

The Gorilla Peanut Butter Bar debuted in four flavors with Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Cup, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, and Cookies and Cream, and the menu has remained that way since the product came to market. Less than a year after Gorilla Mind took on the delicious world of protein snacks, it is getting ready to relaunch its competitor. The brand seems to have completely revamped its Gorilla Peanut Butter Bar, with many things throughout the inside as well as the outside.

The Gorilla Peanut Butter Bar is becoming the Gorilla Bar this coming Monday, with the renaming also bringing a change in branding, where the look of the product is significantly more vibrant, but you still get a similar amount of information and flavor graphics. According to the brand, it has drastically upgraded the taste and texture in the Gorilla Bar, saying, “these are now truly at a real chocolate bar level” which is a statement we’ll put to the test as there are very few out there that achieve this.

To keep things consistent, Gorilla Mind is releasing the Gorilla Bar in all of the same flavors with Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Cup, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, and Cookies and Cream. Again, the product is officially relaunching on Monday of next week through gorillamind.com, and we have to imagine it’ll be for a similar price at $35.99 for a box of 12. With a bold claim like “real chocolate bar level” we’ll have to grab a box or a variety pack if there is one to experience the entire menu of four different tastes.
