Ascent adds energizing caffeine for its dedicated hydration supplement

Ascent Clean Hydration Energy

The new entries in the hydration category continue to pour in week after week, and one of the latest comes from the protein specialist Ascent, which is mostly known for its various protein powders in Whey Protein, Vegan Protein, and Micellar Casein. Joining that catalog is something similarly named to the brand’s recently released Clean Creatine with Clean Hydration + Energy, and as you can probably tell by the two-part name, it isn’t entirely about hydration, it also involves some energy.

Ascent’s Clean Hydration + Energy does, of course, feature a fair amount of electrolytes, with 250mg of sodium and 150mg of potassium in a compact 5.6g serving, and that comes alongside some nutrition as it’s not completely calorie-free with 5g of carbohydrates, 2g of that sugar, and 20 calories. The other side of the supplement, as per its name, is energy, and for that the brand has included coffee fruit extract providing a moderate 100mg of caffeine to accompany that 400mg of electrolytes.

Clean Hydration + Energy has gone live over at The Vitamin Shoppe, where you’ll pay $29.99 for a bottle of a little more than the typical 30 servings found in most sports nutrition supplements at 40. That’ll get you through two complete months if you only use it during workouts and train five times a week. Ascent gives you two flavors to choose from, both of them refreshing and fruity, a great approach for a hydration product with citrusy Orange Mango and the two-part Raspberry Lemonade.
