More information on the grand final rules for this year’s Clash Of The Cans

Clash Of The Cans Grand Final Change

Yesterday we announced the coming of our sixth annual, and this year’s edition of the annual energy drink showdown, Clash Of The Cans powered by Dynamie. The first round of the prestigious event is taking place next week, right in line with the first week of June, where we’ll have over 100 different beverages for you to vote on. The top 16 from that first group will progress into round two, where there will be four groups of four battling each other, then the winner of each group will go to the semifinals.

The grand final for the 2024 edition of the Clash Of The Cans is where things will be a bit different, as we’re taking a more NBA finals-type approach to it. We touched on this in yesterday’s post, although we thought we’d go into a bit more detail after receiving a few questions about how it’ll all play out. The way it is going to work is there are seven days in every round, but in the fourth and final round, the winner will be decided by who gets the highest number of votes per day in the majority of the days, so four or more.

For example, if Grand Finalist A gets 4,000 votes on Wednesday and Grand Finalist B gets 5,000, the latter gets one point. Previous days are not factored in or counted towards any other day. Again, it’s very NBA finals-like, where the winner is whoever gets to four points first, whether that takes four days or seven. We will be sharing the winner of each day in some way, shape or form, but the goal is to make it more challenging than simply getting the most votes, and we will still have the limited of voting once per round.

As mentioned earlier, the 2024 edition of Clash Of The Cans is going to be kicking off on Monday, the 3rd of June, in four days, and you’ll be able to have your say and submit your votes directly at clashofthecans.com. Tomorrow we’ll be sharing a preliminary list of the energy drinks that will be automatically available to vote in that all-important first round, and as per usual, there will be a text box for voters to manually enter their favorite energy drink if for whatever reason it is not on the list.
