SAN also combines EAAs and electrolytes although it’s not as balanced as we’ve seen

San Eaa Hydro

SAN has never been a sports nutrition brand that’s frequent and regular with innovation, but it has been around for many years and has produced some solid supplements, including its long-running Tight family of fat burners and its various entries into the pre-workout category like Fierce Domination. This week, the focus of the brand has been turned to the hydration category, but similar to what we saw from HR Labs recently, it has infused a hydration-supporting product with EAAs to support muscle recovery.

EAA + Hydro is the latest all-new supplement from SAN, and true to its name, it does indeed have all nine EAAs at a combined 9g per serving, three-quarters of that is BCAAs, all there for the purpose of muscle recovery. Filling out the other side of the product are the hydration components, although, unlike HR Labs’ Hydro EAA, SAN hasn’t packed too much in that area, with a few vitamins and a combined 380mg of electrolytes, spread across sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and chloride.

SAN’s EAA + Hydro is more of your typical amino cocktail, where you get a solid dose of EAAs and some electrolytes to additionally support hydration, not to the extent we’ve seen in some of the premium, dedicated hydration supplements. For what you get the price of the amino and electrolyte product is on the high side at $39.99 for a bottle of 30 servings, in your choice of Maui Punch and Mango Mania flavors.
