GNC launches a gainer from Redcon1 packing 50g of protein, 256g of carbs and 1,230 calories

Redcon1 Mass Gainer

Redcon1 has become a significantly more mainstream, easily accessible supplement company, far more than it was back when it came to market, and was heavily available in specialty retailers. It has since expanded into some of those more widespread categories, including energy drinks, although it has just jumped into something we expected sooner. While Redcon1 has a lean protein powder, plant-based competitor, and a meal replacement, until this month, it had not reached into the world of mass gainers.

The category named Mass Gainer is the newest supplement from the two-time Brand Of The Year, and at the moment, it appears to be exclusive to the major retailer GNC. We’ve seen Redcon1 get quite different with its various protein-based products like MRE Lite and the original MRE; this one is very straightforward. Mass Gainer features maltodextrin to provide 256g of carbohydrates per serving, and a blend of whey concentrate and whey isolate to give you a double dose of muscle-building protein at 50g.

The calorie count on a full serving of Redcon1’s Mass Gainer is up in that four-figure realm of 1,230, but with five scoops making up the serving, you can scale this down or up if you choose, where three scoops will get you 30g of protein, 153g of carbohydrates, and just over 700 calories. There is the one flavor to choose from at the moment for the latest Redcon1 supplement at GNC in a traditional Chocolate, and the price you’ll pay is $44.99 for a tub of eight servings, which will work out more if you scale down.
