The canned water company Liquid Death is about to make the move we’ve long been expecting from the innovator, even more so than the hydration supplement it brought to market in Death Dust. Due to launch early next year, to go alongside the giant’s menu of flat and sparkling water is an energy drink. Liquid Death Sparkling Energy is going to bring its alternative approach and style to the category that is already immensely competitive.
To help differentiate the upcoming beverage from its original waters, the Liquid Death Sparkling Energy will feature a split can design, where you distinctly get two colors divided by a diagonal line. The actual text and graphics will be roughly the same with the logo, blazing skull, title, and flavors down the middle. There will be four flavors to start in Murder Mystery, Scary Strawberry, a citrusy Orange Horror, and Tropical Terror.

Under the hood, Liquid Death Sparkling Energy will feature a moderate 100mg of natural caffeine, about half of what you get in Ghost Energy and two-thirds of a Monster Ultra, B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium, and calming theanine. It all comes in a slim and sleek 12oz can, the typical 12oz can of energy drinks, not the shorter soda-style, and Liquid Death is keeping it clean with absolutely no sugar and natural flavors, notably without sucralose or aspartame.
The energy drink category has exploded these last few years, primarily thanks to the exciting newcomers that have entered and some innovation from already existing players. When new brands enter the fray, it is a lot more interesting, as you get takes and moves you wouldn’t expect. The Liquid Death Sparkling Energy Drink will undoubtedly have all of that, and we have no reason to believe it won’t with the success of its water.
