Science In Sport infuses its Beta Fuel gel with a splash of electrolytes

Science In Sport Beta Fuel Electrolyte

Beta Fuel is a performance and endurance supplement or series of supplements from the legacy brand in the United Kingdom, Science In Sport. It is a traditional carbohydrate-fueled gel product that you can tear, squeeze, consume, and keep going, and it has a few spin-offs, including a chewable alternative, powder version, and an edition with nootropics. New to the Beta Fuel family this month is another hybrid in Beta Fuel + Electrolyte.

Similar to Beta Fuel + Nootropics, Science in Sport’s Beta Fuel + Electrolyte is a combination of carbohydrates for fuel at 40g per pack, about half of that sugar, coming from a strategic blend of maltodextrin and fructose. To give it that hybrid twist, the brand has infused a variety of electrolyte sources to support hydration by way of 200mg of sodium and 300mg of chloride for a combined electrolyte count of half a gram.

The blend of carbohydrates and electrolytes is a fitting partnership, as both greatly support performance and endurance, a nice upgrade from the original Beta Fuel gel. Making things even more interesting, the cost of the electrolyte-infused variant is not that much. Through Science In Sport’s website, the regular Beta Fuel is £14 for a box of six or £66 for 30, while Beta Fuel + Electrolyte is just 7% more at £14.99 for six and £68.99 for 30.
