The Man Shake goes vegan in a plant-based spin-off of its signature meal replacement

The Man Shake Plant Powered

The Australian brand The Man Shake, which also has a few other spin-off brands in The Lady Shake and The Kids Shake, is primarily nutrition-focused. It started with the self-titled supplement The Man Shake, a meal replacement type product providing a balanced nutrition profile of 30g of protein, close to 10g of carbohydrates, moderate fat, and 200 or so calories. That is all reinforced with vitamins, minerals, and probiotics for general health and wellness.

This month, The Man Shake has introduced an alternative version of its signature supplement in a plant-based edition of The Man Shake. The spin-off has the same sort of purpose with 30g of protein from vegan-friendly sources instead of dairy, in fava bean, pea isolate, and hydrolyzed rice protein. The other macros are in a similar balance with around 8g carbohydrates, slightly more fat at about 8g, and due to the fat increase, the calories land higher at 210.

The green-branded The Man Shake Plant Powered is essentially the same as the original supplement, as it has all of the added vitamins, minerals, and probiotics too; it’s just that the protein is from plant sources, not the usual milk and whey. There is a small bump price if you want to go the vegan-friendly route, where you’ll pay $54.95 for a bag of 15 servings, $5 more than the regular Man Shake, and there are just two flavors to start with Chocolate and Vanilla.
