There are a few real food functional companies out there that take traditional foods and give them a high-protein twist. Real Good Foods’ lightly breaded chicken nuggets are a great example of that, with chicken breast covered in chickpea flour and whey concentrate for a lot more protein and close to no carbohydrates. The giant corporation Tyson has taken a page out of that book with its all-new High Protein Chicken Nuggets.
Tyson’s delicious-sounding High Protein Chicken Nuggets are made with clean, protein-packed chicken, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and seasoning for flavoring. The result is a bag of bite-sized chicken nuggets, but unlike traditional nuggets, these are much higher in protein and far lower in carbohydrates. In a serving of seven nuggets, you get 23g of protein, 18g of fat, only a single gram of carbohydrates, not net carbs, and 260 calories.
Those are some impressive numbers, as the nutrition balance of protein-to-calories is better than peanut butter-based protein bars like Anabar and Outright, and even many other protein bars. It’s a perfect fit for keto-style eaters, and with the ingredients involved, you know they’re going to taste amazing. There are also two flavors for Tyson’s High Protein Chicken Nuggets in a regular Original, then for something a bit more fiery, you have Spicy.
Tyson’s innovative High Protein Chicken Nuggets are already rolling out to supermarkets in the Original flavor, with Spicy coming later, and in a large 3lb bag. That size gives you plenty of servings, 15 servings to be exact, giving you 105 nuggets all up.
