California Ice Protein manages to put protein bar macros in a delicious ice cream bar

California Ice Protein

We’ve seen plenty of protein ice creams over the years, and the majority of those have come in bulk pots. That is the case internationally with brands around the globe as well, although there are some that go the bar or stick route. Rarely do we see competitors putting delicious high-protein ice cream in bar format, but that is the entire business of the newcomer California Ice Protein, a colorful frozen functional brand we’ve just been introduced to.

California Ice Protein offers handmade sweet, smooth, and creamy ice cream bars, and as per the name of the brand, that ice cream is high in protein. Thanks to its use of whey concentrate, the product packs a damn good 15g of protein and keeps the calories below 200, one flavor even getting as low as 176.

California Ice Protein Strawberry

The flavors of California Ice Protein’s flagship snack are quite mouthwatering and heavily thanks to their delicious inclusions. There is Coliseum Cookies & Cream, which has actual chunks of chocolate cookies, and Strawberry Shortcake with organic strawberries throughout and graham crumbles around the base. The other two options are Have Your Cake & Eat It Too with rainbow sprinkles and S’more Protein for a traditional s’mores taste combination made with sugarless marshmallows.

The nutrition balance in the California Ice Protein Bars is on par with your typical protein bar, especially the lower-calorie flavors like Strawberry Shortcake and Have Your Cake, but somehow in the form of deliciously smooth and inclusion-filled ice cream. It is quite the innovation the newcomer has cooked up and is indeed worth checking out on its website, where you can also purchase boxes of four starting at $14.99 for a minimum of 6 boxes.
