Magnum makes a glow-in-the-dark ice pop with added vitamins and minerals

Magnum Hydro Ice

Every now and then, mainstream companies that aren’t always focused on health, nutrition, and performance try their hand at functional products, whether that’s a bit of protein, sugar-free, or some sort of added active ingredient. The frozen treat and ice cream specialist, Magnum, has put out some of that this month, specifically in clubs on the party island of Ibiza in Spain, introducing the delicious Hydro:ICE.

Magnum’s exclusively released Hydro:ICE is a sweet popsicle in an on-point kiwi and lemon taste combination. The product isn’t hugely low in calories at 77 per piece, a lot of that from sugar, so it’s not functional in nutrition. What makes it different is that the brand has infused the innovation with vitamin B2, the antioxidant powerhouse vitamin C, and the electrolyte magnesium for hydration support.

Glow In The Dark Hydro Ice

Hydro:ICE isn’t a full-blown functional popsicle, but it’s an attempt, and from a major name like Magnum, that’s great to see. Another feature of the product, which has nothing to do with the taste, texture, or added benefits, is that it glows in the dark. The glowing certainly adds another layer to the experience, and it will go down nicely in the places Hydro:ICE has exclusively launched; night clubs in Ibiza.
