Nestlé boosts the protein in its Cini Minis cereal to a slightly better 4.5g a serving

Nestle Cini Minis Protein Cereal

We recently highlighted an all-new variety of Lion breakfast cereal, which is inspired by the popular candy of the same name, available in the United Kingdom and Europe. The variety was a functional, higher protein version of the product, giving you just a pinch more protein at 4.5g in a 30g serving, up from 2.4g. Nestlé, the giant corporation behind the candy bar and cereal, has now done the same sort of thing for another one of its popular breakfast foods.

Nestlé in Europe has released Cini Minis Protein, once again, a protein-heightened version of Cini Minis Cereal, aiming to replicate its sweet, sugary, cinnamon flavor with more protein. Like Lion Protein Cereal, Cini Minis Protein Cereal bumps the muscle-building macronutrient up from 2g to 4.5g. As mentioned, it’s not a huge amount, although anytime you can get more protein in, the better, and it does help propel protein and its benefits into the mainstream.

The full nutrition profile on Nestlé’s Cini MInis Protein Cereal comes out at 4.5g of protein, 2.8g of fat, a hefty carbohydrate count of 19.3g, 6.7g of that sugar, and a calorie count of 125. The functional product is now available in Europe, where Nestlé seems to be getting into the proteinification trend, with Lion and Cini Minis Protein could be the beginning.
