Protein-packed muffin cups and bulk boxes from Premier Protein hit the market

From Stack3d
Premier Protein Muffin

Premier Protein has come such a long way over the last few years in terms of variety, getting into formats far beyond your traditional bar and shake, especially with the likes of its Protein Cereal, Protein Waffles, and now we’ve got Premier Protein Muffins. This one is not as ready-to-eat as other functional foods from the mainstream brand, as it does require some work to get ready, but it’s not a lot, taking about two minutes to have it warm and ready.

The newly released Premier Protein Muffin is essentially a baking mix, and it is available in a bulk box of several servings or in a single-serving cup. The nutrition balance is about the same between the two, although the serving size is bigger in the muffin cup than in the bulk box. To give you an idea of what you’re in for, the Premier Protein Muffin Cup packs 15g of protein, 8g of fat, 35g of carbohydrates, just under half of that sugar, and 270 calories.

The key ingredient in Premier Protein Muffins is wheat, followed by oats, hence the moderately high carbohydrates, with the extra protein coming from quality whey isolate. It’s nowhere near as lean as a Premier Protein Shake, or one of its bars, although as a muffin alternative it’s a strong alternative. The big box retailer Walmart already has the latest from Premier Protein on shelves in boxes and cups, both in Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Muffin flavors.
