The Swedish candy giant S-Märke has played around in the health and nutrition space before, getting together with the gaming supplement company X-Gamer for a few authentic flavors of its signature self-titled caffeinated product. S-Märke is back in our industry once again, although this time, it’s not in partnership with anyone; the long-running candy creator has cooked up its very own S-Märke Protein Bar.
The S-Märke Protein Bar isn’t overly large, keeping it nice and small, similar to your standard sweet treat. The product tips the scales at 35g, and it still manages to provide a good amount of protein at 10.5g, which is certainly not bad considering the overall size. We’re not sure yet what the other numbers are filling out the innovation’s nutrition profile, but we imagine they’re within reason, given the size and the fact that 30% of it is protein.
There are two flavors to start for the S-Märke Protein Bar, and they’re very typical Swedish options with Surt Päron, translates to Sour Pear, and Salt Lakrits, a popular candy in that part of the world, which is Salty Liquorice. They’re rolling out across the brand’s home country this month, and with the immense presence of S-Märke in convenience, grocery, and everything in between; these will be showing up everywhere.
