Silk debuts Protein Milk with added soy isolate for 62% more protein and half the sugar

Silk Protein Milk

Silk is a popular brand in the world of dairy, offering various types of milk, creamers, and alternative yogurts. The milk side is what we’re focusing on today, as that is where the mainstream name has found itself in the health and nutrition industry. Now available alongside its many other milk products like Soymilk, Cashewmilk, Oatmilk, and even Silk Kids, is Silk Protein Milk, available in Original and tasty Chocolate varieties.

The newly released Silk Protein Milk is a soy-based innovation that combines soymilk and soy isolate to give it that extra protein compared to the brand’s already available, regular, Shelf-Stable Soymilk. In a standard single cup serving, Protein Milk has 13g of the muscle-building macronutrient, 8g of carbohydrates, half of that sugar, 4.5g of fat, and 130 calories. That’s 62% more protein than Silk’s original Soymilk, the same carbohydrates and fat, and obviously, with the higher amount of protein, it works out to 20 extra calories.

The breakdown for the Chocolate flavor of the Silk Protein Milk versus regular Chocolate Silk Soymilk is slightly different again, where you get that same bump in protein to 13g a serving, but almost half the carbohydrates at 13g instead of 25, 8g of that sugar, 5g of fat, and 30 calories less at 140. Simply put, the Original Silk Protein Milk is literally just more protein per milliliter, while the Chocolate is more protein and significantly better carbs and calories.

Both of the varieties, Silk Protein Milk Original and Chocolate, can really turn into a mass gainer if you down the whole bottle, getting up to 78g of protein in an entire bottle, 78g of carbohydrates, 48g of sugar, 30g of fat, and 840 calories, for the Chocolate. The new product family is available now and is a great addition to the Silk catalog, which, as mentioned, is already widespread with its many different milks, creamers, and yogurt.
