The Update Energy Drink is an innovative competitor in the saturated space that utilizes Enfinity paraxanthine instead of straight caffeine. Enfinity is one of the three metabolites of caffeine, and is responsible for the lasting energy, so by including that over something like caffeine anhydrous, you get smoother, uplifting energy without the intense kick or occasional crash. The brand has just revamped and relaunched its signature beverage with several changes.
The renewed Update Energy Drink still centers around Enfinity paraxanthine for gradual, smooth, and reliable energy at 300mg in a single 12oz can. The original also had alpha-gpc in the mix to enhance focus, and in the new version of the beverage, you now get superior GeniusPure alpha-gpc at 315mg. B vitamins are still present too with theanine, all coming together for an energy, focus, and cognitive experience separate from your standard energy drink.

The other big shift in Update Energy Drink 2.0 is the flavoring, as it no longer relies on stevia and monk fruit. The brand has shifted to sucralose, which should help with the overall taste. That was an area we felt the original had trouble with, as the active ingredients and benefits are there under the hood, but it was difficult to get it down due to its tart and bitter taste.
While Update Energy’s own online store lists its improved energy drink as coming soon, you can already drop by the big box retailer Walmart and grab the beverage. The refined energy drink is available there in five flavors, three of which are from the original menu. The list includes Berry, Peach, and Mandarin, then the two completely new tastes, Grape and Pineapple, all of which have absolutely zero sugar and carbohydrates, for a clean, guilt-free calorie count of ten.
