Before clear protein became such a popular approach for both consumers and supplement companies, fruit-forward flavors were incredibly rare in the world of protein powder. We saw them every now and then, but with a thicker, smoother style like a strawberry milkshake or banana smoothie. Nutrabolics has brought back a bit of that for its premium Hydropure, in a flavor that replicates a familiar cocktail experience in a smoothie-type protein shake.
Nutrabolics has released a mouthwatering and unfortunately limited-edition Pina Colada Smoothie flavor of Hydropure protein powder, inspired by the original cocktail of the same name. It looks to deliver a deliciously balanced blend of tropical pineapple and rich coconut with 28g of protein per serving from hydrolyzed whey isolate and just 130 calories. It’s definitely an uncommon option for a non-clear protein powder, although that’s right in the wheelhouse of Nutrabolics, which we’ve seen attempt intricate flavors many times before.
The all-new and temporary Pina Colada Smoothie Hydropure is rolling out to retailers across Nutrabolics’ home country of Canada shortly, in at least its 1.6lb tub size of 20 servings, and from the likes of the major retailer Popeye’s that’ll cost you $64.99 (47.53 USD).
