Nutramino is one of the European brands under the Glanbia umbrella, and in that part of the world, it has a strong presence and availability, especially on the ready-to-drink and functional food side. Its signature protein bar can be found in many places throughout its local market, in specialty stores, convenience, and even at airports. As popular and great as the self-titled Nutramino Protein Bar has been, it is now getting a very noteworthy update.
The version of the Nutramino Protein Bar on most shelves is being phased out to make way for an identically named but much better protein eating experience. The replacement is slightly smaller in size and marginally lower in protein, tipping the scales at 50g a piece with 15g of muscle-building protein, around the same in carbohydrates, less than 2g of that sugar, and ranging from 161 to 185 calories. That is a better protein-to-calorie ratio than the previous iteration, less sugar, and a delicious, consistent taste and texture across each of the flavors, rather than each having varying experiences.
The new 2026 edition of the Nutramino Protein Bar is available in three flavors right out of the gate, two of them are from the predecessor’s menu in Chocolate Coconut and Caramel Chocolate, while the third is something a bit more exotic in Chocolate Banana. The revamped product is currently making its way out to market across Europe, although it will be a gradual phasing out as stock runs down of the original to make way for the new.
