The energy drink brand Strike One in Peru has been extremely busy this past year, drastically expanding its selection of Dragon Ball Z-themed flavors and varieties. A year ago, the company had four flavors of its caffeinated beverage in Goku’s Fruit Fantasy, Vegeta’s Bubblegum, Cell’s Watermelon, and Frieza’s Tropical. In the last 12 months, Strike One launched six more flavors themed around other Dragon Ball Z characters, including its first-ever zero-sugar options.
While we’re still not a complete year after that launch of Strike One’s first-ever extensions to its family of Dragon Ball Z energy drinks, the busy brand has come out with another set of characters and flavors, and one of them is in the zero-sugar recipe. The expansion includes Mr. Satan’s Grape, Gohan or Super Saiyan Gohan’s Original, presumably a distinct signature experience, Android 18’s Guarana for a classic energy drink taste, and Android 17’s sugar-free Citrus.
Outside of Android 17’s Citrus, Strike One’s new Dragon Ball Z-themed energy drinks have 18g of carbohydrates per can, almost all of that sugar between 16 and 17g, for 80 calories. Citrus, however, has zero sugar and only 1.4g of total carbs, working out to a low 14 calories in a full-size 16oz can. The flavors stand out even more as they have a new but still character-driven design compared to the others, and they’re all now available in Strike One’s local market.
