Lifeline not for the average muscle builder, American Muscle target casuals with their chewable multi-vitamin

Review of American Muscle's chewable multi-vitamin Lifeline

Lifeline is the relatively new American Muscle’s multi-vitamin supplement. When it comes to these types of formulas usually they are best judged on their contents and cost. Hence why the most celebrated products are the well priced multi pill packs like Monster Pak, Animal Pak, and Monster Multi. In the case of Lifeline, it is not a pack supplement, nor is it a capsule product. American Muscle’s vitamin complex is possibly the only chewable formula in it’s division.

Lifeline does not carry a bodybuilding inspired range of contents, or doses anywhere near the likes of it’s biggest competitors. It’s main highlight is the form it comes in. The chewable tablet is an orange flavored delicacy that brings back the childhood memory of an adolescent vitamin c product. It smells and tastes citrusy, however it has an extremely sour center which is more like a gum than the crunchy outside, that leaves an intense orange aftertaste.

As for the ingredients Lifeline does have, it doesn’t bring much to the table. With it’s major points being a 180mg hit of vitamin C, 350mcg of B12, 15mg of zinc, and an 87mg complex made up of maca, hawthorne berry, ginger, grape seed, turmeric, eleuthero, and astralagus. It does have enough to justify competition with some vitamins. But unfortunately formulas from all the way at the lower end of the market like Optimum Nutrition’s Opti-Women, and NOW Sport’s Adam & Eve multi variants.

The only reason American Muscle’s vitamin doesn’t get the thumbs down is because of it’s combination of average quality and form. Lifeline is one of the few supplements on the market that attempts to touch base with a casual market using a high end look. It hasn’t been designed for an elite athlete, which is reinforced by the chewable selling point, and confirmed with it’s contents. Of course price will play a part, especially against it’s competitors listed above. However cost aside Lifeline will go down nicely with a once or twice a week enthusiast, casual cardioer, or the general health nut.
