Layne Norton goes stimulant free for Carbon Prep

While we have yet to get a look at either of Layne Norton’s two upcoming Carbon supplements, he has gone and released a bunch of details on both. You can read more on the recovery formula in our post on Carbon Recover, with this one being about Norton’s pre-workout Carbon Prep. Much like the product itself we haven’t actually seen the label behind Carbon Prep, although the details that have been released do confirm quite a bit.

The most interesting piece of information that has come out on Layne Norton’s Carbon Prep is that the pre-workout is stimulant free. It has been designed as a real performance enhancer with at least nine different ingredients that we know of. Being a very science driven supplement Norton has of course packed all the usual performance ingredients in Carbon Prep including 6g of citrulline malate, 2.5g betaine, 1g carnitine l-tartrate and 3g of creatine monohydrate.

As for the remaining five features we know of, three are nootropics, with the other two being things you won’t find in your typical pre-workout. Rounding out the list is rhodiola, huperzine A, alpha GPC, astragalus and 450mg of cocoa powder. At the moment we don’t know if there is anything else in Carbon Prep, but if there is in fact more we can’t imagine any of it being too important since it sounds like all the main ingredients have been revealed.

Layne Norton has still yet to give an exact date for when Carbon Prep and Recover will be available, however he is saying the products could be launching at Bodybuilding.com as early as the end of this week.

Update 09/30: While it isn’t exactly the end of the week, Layne Norton’s stimulant free pre-workout Carbon Prep has now gone on sale at its exclusive retailer. The launch has of course brought with it the supplement’s official facts panel, which we have added below. As you can see the nine ingredients previously confirmed are all that’s in Carbon Prep with the label just revealing the four doses we didn’t know.
