Earlier today we posted about 4+ Nutrition’s mystery Christmas edition protein powder which we suspected to be Fruitcake. A few hours later the Italian brand has now unveiled the product, and once again surprised us. If you’ve ever taken a look at any of the 4+ protein menus, you’ll know it doesn’t quite stick to your traditional flavors. Recipes like Coconut Mousse and the Italian inspired Panna Cotta are great examples of that. The brand’s new limited edition is yet another example with what we’re almost certain is an industry first.
The name of 4+ Nutrition’s Christmas inspired flavor which joins its fast growing Whey+ menu is Panettone. If you haven’t heard of that it wouldn’t be too surprising as much like the brand’s Panna Cotta and Zabaione, it is a traditional Italian food. While we weren’t correct with our guess of Fruitcake, Panettone isn’t actually too far away from it. It is described as a sweet loaf typically made around Christmas and the New Year and contains candied orange, lemon zest, and citron, as well as dry raisins.
4+ Nutrition fans located close to the brand in Italy can actually now purchase the Christmas edition supplement, as 4+ has already added it to its website. Unlike most of the Whey+ flavors Panettone has only been produced in one of the product’s three sizes, the smaller 900g tub, which 4+ currently has priced at €42.
