Following yesterday’s introduction of Optimum Nutrition’s Protein Oats Flapjack in the UK, details have surfaced on another similarly branded supplement. The new product is simply called Optimum Whey and Oats, which has a Protein Oats Flapjack like look, and a formula much the same as the brand’s Natural 100% Oats & Whey.
Much like its title, the upcoming Optimum Whey and Oats is a very straightforward supplement. Each serving provides 27g of protein, 16g of carbohydrates with 2g of that sugar and 4g fiber, 2.5g of fat (1g saturated), and a total of 190 calories.
The ingredients list is where Optimum Whey and Oats truly shines through with a relatively short list of whey isolate and concentrate for protein, as well as whole oat flour and oat bran. The formula is essentially what it says in its title, whey and oats.
We’re not too sure on when this one is going to be available, or whether or not it will be like the Protein Oats Flapjack and only show up in the UK. When and wherever it does eventually arrive, it will have at least one size to choose from with a 14 serving 1.54lb, and three flavors in Blueberry Muffin, Vanilla Almond Pastry, and Chocolate Glazed Donut.
