Muscletech drops whey concentrate for its new Lab Series protein

Lab Series Whey Protein

Following on from our closer look at Muscletech’s upcoming Lab Series pre-workout Pre Build. We’ve now also got a closer look at the all-new protein powder from the same very line with the Lab Series Whey Protein + Isolate.

No more whey concentrate

As we initially suspected when the new supplement was first revealed for Muscletech’s Lab Series. Whey Protein + Isolate is quite similar in formula to the line’s original protein competitor, Whey Advanced. Both Whey Protein + Isolate and Whey Advanced essentially rely on the same forms of protein.

The protein sources used in Whey Advanced are whey peptides, isolate, and concentrate, whereas Whey Protein + Isolate uses just whey peptides and isolate. Basically, that means the newer Lab Series protein features a faster absorbing blend of protein compared to the original Whey Advanced.

Lab Series Whey Protein

Whey Advanced like macros

As for the macros making up a serving of Muscletech’s upcoming Whey Protein + Isolate, they’re all about the same as Whey Advanced. Each serving has 25g of protein, 2g of carbohydrates, 2g of fat (1g saturated), and a total of 130 calories.

Arriving this summer

Like the rest of Muscletech’s new Lab Series products, Whey Protein + Isolate is expected to release sometime this summer. It will be available in a rather large 65 serving tub size with two traditional tastes on its menu in Double Rich Chocolate and French Vanilla.
