Amazon Australia open and shipping orders $49 or more free

Amazon Australia

Amazon is in full swing down under in Australia this week, as its distribution center is up and running, and amazon.com.au now taking orders. The online giant has added a massive amount of products to its website including nutrition supplements, although currently, it doesn’t have an overly large selection.

The opening of Amazon’s warehouse in the country, located just outside of Melbourne, will of course significantly speed up local delivery times. Orders $49 AUD or more can be shipped free and from places like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane are expected to arrive in as little as a few days, however, there are faster, paid options.

The rewarding membership program Amazon Prime has not been included in Amazon’s initial Australian launch, although it is coming. The Prime service is said to be arriving in the country sometime around mid next year where it will be offering “exclusive delivery benefits”.
