Nutrition profile confirmed with first look at Redcon1’s MRE Bar

Redcon1 MRE Bar

Redcon1 has released a small but detailed preview of its upcoming MRE spin-off, the MRE Bar. It is set to be the brand’s first edible product as well as a unique item based on its very different set of ingredients.

Based on the preview of the MRE Bar, it does look like the product will have a build similar to a lot of other protein bars on the market. It appears to have the usual main body covered with a solid coating and crispies, similar to the likes of MusclePharm’s Combat Crunch and ProSupps’ MyBar.

The other details we have to share are all about the nutrition behind the upcoming MRE Bar, which is what makes it so special. Each bar is apparently going to have 20g of protein from a unique mix of protein sources including beef isolate, salmon, chicken, and egg protein.

We can also confirm other major macros for Redcon1’s MRE Bar today with 5g of fat, 28g of carbohydrates with 4g of that sugar, and a relatively typical protein bar calorie total of 260. As far as we know, Redcon1’s MRE Bar is still due to release sometime this month, the same timeframe the brand has for its other MRE spin-off, the lower carbohydrate MRE Lite.
