Following on from our post on LionEdge Nutrition’s upcoming BCAA Edge, today we have everything you need to know about another one of its new products, the protein powder Casein Edge. The supplement is actually quite similar to BCAA Edge in that it features a rather straightforward formula especially compared to the brand’s first product, the post-workout Post Edge.
LionEdge Nutrition’s Casein Edge is a casein based protein powder, powered by the slower digesting, sustained released source, micellar casein. It packs a relatively lean nutrition profile with 24g of protein per serving, 4.5g of carbohydrates with a gram of that sugar, less than a gram of fat, and a total of 130 calories.
Being the rather complex brand that it is, LionEdge Nutrition has also given Casein Edge an extra feature you won’t find in a lot of other casein proteins. On top of the micellar casein, the supplement includes 2g of Velositol, a patented ingredient that claims to “double the power of your protein” by boosting muscle protein synthesis.
LionEdge Nutrition plans on officially launching its new Casein Edge very soon alongside BCAA Edge as well as its reformulated Post Edge. It’ll be available in the one 2.28lb tub size which packs a total of 30 servings, and in the one Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream flavor with real strawberries.
