Protein loaded nougat Turrón Proteico is back for another Christmas

With Christmas just over a month and a half away, the Spanish brand Max Protein has brought back its holiday-themed protein snack, Turrón Proteico. It is a limited edition product that we first saw from the brand around Christmas last year, and it is indeed a delicious-looking functional food that is unlike anything else out there.

Each box of Max Protein’s Turrón Proteico comes with two crunchy and tasty slabs of whey protein-infused nougat. There is the almond nougat slab made with toasted almonds, then the crunchy chocolate nougat slab featuring tasty artisan chocolate.

The nutrition profile varies from slab to slab, although both provide a good amount of protein. The almond slab is the leaner of the two, with 27g of protein, 20.2g of carbohydrates, just 1.8g of sugar, 36.8g of fat, and 412 calories. The crunchy chocolate has 17g of protein, 48g of carb,s 7g of sugar, 27g of fat, and 454 calories.

You can grab Max Protein’s special edition Christmas-themed Turrón Proteico from its website starting this month at just €12.64 (14.07 USD) for a box of two nougat slabs. Fans of the Spanish brand will also want to move quickly on this one as it is a limited release with Max Protein only producing 4,000 units.
