David shares the first look at its ice cream with 30g of protein and only 260 calories

David Protein Ice Cream

Since the beginning, the functional food company David Protein has been tied to the protein bar category, delivering macros that you can’t get anywhere else. Even in its recently released Bronze Protein Bar, you get a candy bar-style approach with macros that beat out almost all of the competition at 20g of protein to 150 calories. We figured the brand would eventually bring its signature ingredients and low-carbohydrate approach to other formats, and in its second full year of business, we are finally getting that.

Revealed this week in line with the Arnold Sports Festival, where David Protein will be exhibiting in a much bigger space than last year, is its first-ever non-bar innovation, David Protein Ice Cream. This is the perfect format to utilize capitalize with its patented, lower-calorie fat alternative, EPG, as fat is crucial for an authentic ice cream experience. The upcoming ice cream from David will pack 30g of protein, low carbohydrates with only 2g of that sugar, and a calorie count that blows away the competition of 260.

We’ve only seen one flavor of David Protein Ice Cream in what looks to be Cookies or Cookies and Cream, although we know that won’t be the only taste it’ll have to choose from when it hits the market. The original David Protein Bar and Bronize Protein Bar debuted with four options on their menu, which we imagine will be similar for the ice cream. With this news and David appearing at the Arnold Expo this coming weekend, we have to imagine the David Protein Ice Cream will be there or have more details.
