Mars puts together a protein powder based on its iconic Maltesers candy

maltesers protein powder

Over the last few years, the candy company Mars has dropped several sports nutrition products in Europe inspired by its original treats, which have made their way into many other countries. Most of those products have been centered around two candy bars with Mars and Snickers, although this year, we’ve seen the brand branch out into many others.

In Europe, alongside those Mars and Snickers protein bars and powders, you can find an M&M’s protein bar, Twix protein powder, and very soon a protein powder based on the malted milk treat, Maltesers. Images have now surfaced on the newest supplement from Mars, which will be its fourth candy protein powder, and is due to hit all of its usual retailer partners in the coming weeks.

Mars’ Maltesers protein powder will feature the same type of formula as the Mars, Snickers, and Twix protein powders, powered by whey concentrate. The nutrition profile on a serving is a little more calorie-dense than your typical protein powder led by 15g of protein with 5.4g of carbohydrates, 1.8g of fat, and 99 calories.

The flavor of the Maltesers protein powder is, of course, based on the original Maltesers candy, which are small malted milk balls covered in milk chocolate. The product promises that familiar and sweet chocolate malt taste, but as mentioned with the nutrition of a protein powder. The supplement is due to hit stores as early as this week in a small 450g bag with a total of 18 servings.
