This Friday, local time, major Japanese brand Haleo is releasing a collaboration product put together in partnership with a long-running nut company based out of Chiba, Japan. Haleo has utilized that company’s specialist manufacturing and put a functional spin on almonds, similar to what we’ve seen from a few other sports supplement brands such as Optimum Nutrition.
Haleo has teamed up to bring together California roasted almonds and premium whey isolate to create high-protein almonds, which, again, is the same angle as Optimum Nutrition’s Protein Almonds. The brand has also thrown on a layer of cocoa and the sweetener erythritol to ensure they deliver a delicious, chocolate-covered experience that’s somewhat nutritionally friendly.
We don’t know the exact macros of the product, but based on the description, they’ll be higher in protein than your typical almonds, and as mentioned, they’re launching this Friday with a limited run through Haleo’s website.
