Foodspring makes a vegan-friendly version of its popular high-protein cream

foodspring vegan protein cream

Protein Cream is one of Foodspring’s more popular products, with a cream or spread that is smooth, sweet, high in protein, and low in sugar and calories. A regular 30g serving of the brand’s functional Protein Cream has 6.3g of protein, thanks to added whey concentrate, 9.9g of carbohydrates with 2.22g of that sugar, 2.13g of fat, and a calorie count of 155.

Starting this week, Foodspring now has a vegan-friendly version of Protein Cream, that instead of being made with whey concentrate, it features pea and rice protein to give it 6.9g of protein per 30g serving. The rest of the product’s nutrition profile is about the same at 7.5g of carbohydrates, 1.2g of sugar, 13.2g of fat, and about the same calories at 159.

Unlike Foodspring’s regular Protein Cream, the new and obviously named Vegan Protein Cream only comes in one flavor at the moment, in a classic spread combination of chocolate and hazelnut. The plant-based product is also a little more expensive than the original whey-powered Protein Cream at €5.99 (7.30 USD) per pot of €32.99 (40.19 USD) for six.
