Bombbar puts sugar-free protein ice cream into an on-the-go cup cone

bombbar protein ice cream cups

Bombbar and its spin-off brand Chikalab are no strangers to creative high protein snacks and treats, and unique functional foods; in fact, that was one of the main reasons it won our Functional Brand Of The Year award. The Russian brand has put together some truly impressive products in the short time we’ve known it, and now it’s come through once again with Protein Ice Cream Cups.

Bombbar’s Protein Ice Cream Cups are exactly what they’re called, with small cup cones filled with sugar-free, high-protein ice cream. A single Protein Ice Cream Cup packs a solid 14g of protein with 16 to 17g of carbohydrates, 5g of fat, and 173 to 177 calories. The macros aren’t as lean as a high-protein bar, but they’re impressively not too far off, especially considering it’s an ice cream treat.

Each Bombbar Protein Ice Cream Cup tips the scales at 90g, so it isn’t as light as your traditional 60g protein bar, and it comes in three delicious flavors. There is Sundae, which looks to be vanilla-flavored ice cream, the classic European caramel dessert Crème Brûlée, and lastly, something for chocolate lovers, in a straightforward Chocolate flavor.

Bombbar’s intriguing and undoubtedly tasty new Protein Ice Cream Cups are available to order from its website, although not everyone in its home country of Russia can purchase them. The brand is limiting the frozen product to those in Moscow for now, and as for price, it is quite low at ₽300 (4.05 USD) for a pack of three or ₽540 (7.29 USD) for six, with a variety options available.
