It turns out its full-spectrum amino Moonwalk isn’t the only supplement the eye-catching South African brand Metalab is updating. It has also decided to tweak its stimulant pre-workout Spellbound, which like Moonwalk, wasn’t updated all that long ago. Metalab reformulated Spellbound near the end of last year, adding its own branded blend of pump ingredients with MetaPump.
For 2021, the changes Metalab is making to its entry in the incredibly competitive pre-workout category are not as significant as they were last time or as many as the new Moonwalk has. There are a handful of differences with the reformulation, starting with a full 3.2g of beta-alanine instead of 2.5g, and a gram more of that MetaPump blend of citrulline, arginine, and ornithine now at 8.75g.
Alongside those two changes, Metalab has just two more for its Spellbound pre-workout with taurine added to the formula at 2g per full serving, and mucuna pruriens is dosed 50% higher at 150mg. Everything else in the supplement has remained the same, including its 200mg of Dynamine, a gram each of tyrosine and choline bitartrate, and a combined 300mg of caffeine from two sources.
Metalab is releasing its new and improved Spellbound next week to go with its now Senactiv-infused amino Moonwalk, making the first week of October an exciting time for fans of the brand. You’ll be able to purchase the reformulated versions of Spellbound and Moonwalk first through Metalab’s online store and in a Sour Watermelon Candy flavor that’s also said to be an improvement.
