Scorpion releases a pre-workout named the same as its energy drink with a few light dosages

Scorpion Supplements Boom Pre Workout

New Zealand company Scorpion Supplements has followed the release of its Boom energy drink from just a couple of months ago, with an identically named pre-workout. Boom is now also a powder product from the brand, and while it has a wider variety of ingredients, many of the dosages are not that impressive and more like the Boom beverage than a competitive pre-workout.

Scorpion Supplements’ Boom supplement features citrulline and arginine at only 1.5g per serving each, to support muscle pumps, with a full 3.2g of beta-alanine, a gram of taurine, and only 50mg of betaine for performance. The stimulant side of the product has its fair share of light dosages too, including 200mg each of choline bitartrate and tyrosine, 150mg lion’s mane, and a reasonable 300mg of caffeine.

As mentioned, the dosages powering the pre-workout supplement aren’t overly impressive, especially that 1.5g of citrulline being a quarter of the 6g we prefer to see, and betaine just 2% of its more common 2.5g. We definitely would’ve like to see larger amounts of most of those ingredients to give it a better chance at delivering that balanced blend of energy, focus, pumps, and performance.

Scorpion Supplements’ Boom pre-workout is available now through its online store, and it is a fairly cost-effective product or at least at the cheaper end of the category. Directly from the brand, Boom will cost you $49 ($34.46 USD) for a full-size tub of 30 servings, with three flavors to choose from in Green Apple, a classic Blue Raspberry, and a much more intriguing Bubblegum.
