This Friday, Optimum Nutrition in the UK and Europe is releasing a more advanced pre-workout supplement, separate from its current Gold Standard Pre-Workout, although it is named similar. The upcoming product is Gold Standard Pre-Workout Advanced, and it is packed full of much more respectable and reliable ingredients and dosages next to the already available Gold Standard Pre-Workout.
We’ve added the facts panel for the supplement in the image below, a formula led by a solid 6g of pure citrulline to enhance muscle pumps and a full 3.2g of beta-alanine to support performance and endurance. Optimum Nutrition does have several other ingredients in its Gold Standard Pre-Workout Advanced to also drive energy and focus, and make for a more comprehensive experience.
Other ingredients in Optimum Nutrition’s UK and Europe Gold Standard Pre-Workout Advanced are a gram each of n-acetyl-l-carnitine and n-acetyl-l-tyrosine, and half a gram of PerforMelon watermelon powder. The always reliable caffeine is in the pre-workout as well at a reasonable 200mg per serving, and the all-important BCAA leucine at a solid 3g, which is something we’ve seen before but certainly not often.
Gold Standard Pre-Workout Advanced for the UK and Europe really highlights its point in its name, as it is truly an advanced version of the previously released Gold Standard Pre-Workout. It has a wider variety of ingredients making for a more robust formula, including a little over twice the beta-alanine, double the PerforMelon, and eight times more citrulline as Gold Standard Pre-Workout has just 750mg.
