Sweet and salty licorice flavor announced for the tasty ProPud Milkshake

Luxurious Licorice Propud Milkshake

It is the first day of April, and with that comes a bountiful amount of April Fool’s Day pranks from supplement companies. Usually they’re in the form of meat, vegetable, and general food-flavored protein powders and bars. Swedish brand NJIE has shared something today that has us questioning whether it’s real, although we are leaning more towards the idea that it is.

NJIE has announced an intriguing flavor for its delicious ProPud Series high-protein Milkshake, and it’s far from your usual chocolate and vanilla with a limited Luxurious Licorice. It is a sweet and salty flavor based on black licorice, and the reason we don’t think this is an April Fool’s Day prank, as much as it sounds like one, is because this isn’t the first licorice product from NJIE.

A few years ago, NJIE released a black-colored, limited-time licorice flavor of its signature protein-packed ProPud pudding. Traditional black licorice is also a popular flavor in Nordic countries like Finland and the brand’s home country of Sweden. All of this points to Luxurious Licorice ProPud Milkshake being real and could be showing up in stores and stockists soon.

NJIE’s Luxurious Licorice ProPud Milkshake is being promoted with all of the ready-to-drink protein shake’s usual key macros with a solid 20g of protein and no added sugar.
