Nutricon makes a more value-focused, whey concentrate-based protein

Nutricon Whey Concentrate

South Africa’s Nutricon has added a more cost-effective protein powder to its lineup with a supplement named after its one and only source; 100% Whey Concentrate. Of the different forms of whey out there, whey concentrate is the cheaper of those available, although there are various versions of that as well with the likes of WPC80, which is 80% protein.

Nutricon’s 100% Whey Concentrate provides a typical 25g of protein in each of its servings, although that comes from a hefty 37g serving size, alongside 5.8g of carbohydrates with 1.6g of that sugar, and 2.8g fiber, 1.9g of fat, and 135 calories.

The serving weight is worth noting as you only get 2lb of powder in every tub of 100% Whey Concentrate, and with that 37g serving, you end up getting 24 servings. A good comparison would be Nutricon’s own protein blend Whey + Isolate, which has a 31g serving with 25g of protein in each, so if you got a 2lb tub of that, you’d get around 20% more servings.

Serving size and the amount of protein you get are important to take into consideration as if you’re comparing two of the same size and one is cheaper with a bigger serving, it may not actually be better value. Either way, you can grab Nutricon’s new 100% Whey Concentrate straight from its website at R499.99 (29.48 USD) for that full-size tub of 24 servings.
