Carb Killa moves away from its iconic name to simply the Grenade Protein Bar

Grenade Protein Bar Renamed

Grenade first gained attention with its fat burner packaged in a grenade-shaped bottle, although it wasn’t until its functional hit that it really made a name for itself. The Carb Killa Protein Bar was introduced back in 2015, and it’s been enjoyable to follow since, with the product really being the first great-tasting, candy bar-style protein bar and setting the standard for the category.

In 2022, fans of Grenade may have noticed a subtle change in the Carb Killa Protein Bar, as it is, in fact, no longer the Carb Killa Protein Bar. In an effort to declutter the label and move to a simpler naming convention, the brand has dropped the title of Carb Killa. The still delicious and top-tasting protein treat is now referred to more straightforwardly as the Grenade Protein Bar.

Grenade has been slowly refreshing the look of its signature snack over the past few months, and with it has come the shift from Carb Killa Protein Bar to Grenade Protein Bar. If you head to the brand’s website, you’ll see most of the flavors of the product have been switched. Grenade has also applied the approach to its Reload Protein Flapjack, now the Grenade Protein Flapjack.

We actually tried the very first flavor of the Carb Killa Protein Bar at launch in Caramel Chaos, so it’s a bittersweet moment to see Grenade transition to the Grenade Protein Bar. The product inside the wrapper will remain the same, from the crispy, crunchy, and smooth consistency to the candy-like flavors Carb Killa is known for, such as its rich chocolate coating and on-point caramel.
