Life Pro makes a family of pasta alternatives out of konjac keeping the calories close to zero

Life Pro Nutrition Fid Food Konjac Pasta

Life Pro Nutrition has an extensive selection of functional foods on the market, on top of all of its sports nutrition supplements. The European company goes deeper than just protein bars and nutritious snacks; it makes a lot of actual foods, including the OMG Burger range of beef, veal, and chicken burgers. This week, the brand is releasing better-for-you pasta, or what is essentially pasta, but without the usual macros.

Life Pro Nutrition has introduced Fit Food Konjac Spinach Fettuccine, Fit Food Konjac Noodles, Fit Food Konjac Rice-Style, and Fit Food Konjac Macaroni. As per their names, all of the pasta products are made with konjac fiber, giving them next to no nutrition in any serving size. The Fit Food Konjac family has under a gram of carbohydrates, protein, and fat in a 100g serving, except for Spinach Fettuccine with 1.6g of carbs.

The benefits of something like this are relatively obvious, as you get an alternative to pasta and rice that will feel somewhat similar to the real thing, but again, there is virtually no nutrition, so if you serve, say, the rice with chicken, it’d become a carbohydrate-free protein dish. The products come in pouches of 200g to serve however you like — 4x50g or 2x100g — and directly from the brand, they cost €2.75 (2.93 USD) each.
