VMI Sports combines plant protein, enzymes and electrolytes for its premium ProtoLyte spin-off

Vmi Sports Protolyte Plant Protein

You can now pre-order VMI Sports’ long-awaited ProtoLyte Plant Protein after it was announced a little more than four months ago. That initial preview didn’t reveal too many details about the supplement, but enough to know it’s a vegan-friendly protein powder backed by several plant-powered sources. Now however, that you can head over to the brand’s online store and pre-order the product, we have everything you need to know about the spin-off of VMI’s well-known and tasty ProtoLyte protein powder.

Firstly, ProtoLyte Plant Protein is on the lean side at 20g of protein a serving from pea, pumpkin seed, and watermelon seed protein, with 2g of fat, a gram of carbohydrates, none of that sugar, and a low 100 calories. Those numbers are based on the product’s Vanilla Cake Batter flavor, and like most protein powders, they vary slightly across the rest of the menu, and there are quite a few others to choose from in Vanilla Peanut Butter, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and something for chocolate lovers in Chocolate Fudge Cookie.

Other noteworthy highlights of VMI Sports ProtoLyte Plant Protein are that it has added electrolytes, but not just any electrolytes, premium TRAACS minerals for hydration and recovery support, it is naturally flavored and sweetened, and it has an enzyme blend to help with digestion and the uptake of the protein. Those features may not seem like much, but in the world of protein powder, little features here and there are big separators, especially considering it is one of the most crowded categories in the sports nutrition industry.

VMI Sports is now taking pre-orders for ProtoLyte Plant Protein through its online store in those four flavors mentioned: Vanilla Cake Batter, Vanilla Peanut Butter, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Fudge Cookie. The price on a full-size 2lb tub of the supplement is $49.99, and despite being a pre-order, you won’t be waiting long for your vegan-friendly protein powder to ship out, as the brand is saying ProtoLyte Plant Protein is making its way out of the warehouse in about a week on February 13th.
