ZeroLabs makes some noise in South Africa with robust new-age formulas

Introducing Zerolabs

There are a lot of sports nutrition companies in South Africa; it’s quite a competitive market, and that part of the world has produced a few heavy hitters, including the internationally known USN and the younger, premium Metalab. New players continue to jump into the fray, one of those being ZeroLabs, which only just came to market in the last couple of months with four supplements, each for a popular category.

ZeroLabs has a protein powder called ISO, relying entirely on high-end whey isolate for all of its protein; an unflavored standalone creatine with 50 servings of 5g of creatine monohydrate; and Formula X, an intra-workout packed full of EAAs and electrolytes. The South African newcomer also competes in the pre-workout space with Project 0, and it is rather impressive, considering you don’t see too many advanced products.

Introducing Zero Labs 1

The well-put-together pre-workout from ZeroLabs, Project 0, boasts some respectable highlights, including 6g of citrulline malate, 1.3g of glycerol, and 2.5g of betaine for pumps. There is also a fair amount of focus with 600mg of lion’s mane, 300mg of alpha-gpc, and 1.5g of tyrosine. Surprisingly, considering this is the brand’s only pre-workout, there is no caffeine, so that it can be stacked with stimulants.

You can find out more about ZeroLabs and its family of supplements at zerolabs.co.za, and it’s always worth knowing how cost-effective the market in South Africa naturally is. The brand’s bulk, unflavored creatine is R199 (11.32 USD), and its stimulant-free pre-workout Project 0 is R499 (28.38 USD). The latter is the most important detail, as ZeroLabs still manages to put a solid formula into Project 0 and stay under the $30 price point.
