Old School swaps probiotics for collagen and BCAAs and halves the servings in its women’s creatine

Old School Labs Creatine For Women

Golden-era bodybuilding supplement company Old School Labs has had a creatine product on the market for quite some time by way of Classic Creatine, which is essentially a simple and straightforward, standalone creatine monohydrate competitor. To spice things up, the brand added BioFit probiotics to support gut health and in an effort to improve uptake and absorption. Old School has now added a creatine supplement specifically for women; however, the value compared to Classic Creatine is not great.

Old School Labs’ appropriately named Creatine Monohydrate For Women has the same main ingredient, dosage, and price as Classic Creatine, but half the servings at 30 scoops of traditional creatine monohydrate at 5g to support muscle strength and size. There aren’t any BioFit probiotics in this either, instead, the brand has given women something else, more common in beauty products with 2g of collagen and a gram of BCAAs at the usual 2:1:1 ratio with a gram of leucine and 500mg each of isoleucine and valine.

The price of Creatine Monohydrate For Women is, as mentioned, the same as Classic Creatine at $34.99, but unfortunately, for half the servings at 30, essentially making it twice the price. It would have been great to see a similar value as Classic Creatine at $34.99 for 60 servings and maybe adjust the ingredients that replaced the probiotics. Typically, sports nutrition companies that make something for women don’t put in as effective dosages, although here, the dose is right but the loss of servings is substantial.
