Laperva puts collagen in its electrolyte-based sports drink, but at a measly 100mg a bottle

From Stack3d
Laperva Aqua Gen Sports Drink

The extensive health nutrition brand Laperva in the Middle East, including several strong competitors in major sports nutrition categories, has released a hydration beverage like many other companies around the world, although it has not taken the traditional approach. Laperva’s Aqua Gen does indeed feature a variety of electrolytes to support hydration, performance, and endurance, although it’s not a huge amount, with sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and others totaling less than 200mg.

Where Laperva’s Aqua Gen beverage gets interesting is alongside the selection of electrolytes; it has a blend of vitamins for general health and marine-sourced collagen. The inclusion of collagen is a key part of the product, as it’s called out on the front of the bottle, although looking at the facts panel, it’s not anything to shout about. The marine collagen is dosed at a measly and practically pointless 100mg in a 500ml bottle, a far cry from the 5 to 10g you typically see in powder products and even drinks.

Aqua Gen does put the Middle Eastern company Laperva in the sports drink space, but nothing in there is included at a reliable or effective dosage, especially the marine-sourced collagen at 100mg. The hybrid beverage blending small amounts of electrolytes and collagen has hit the market in the one Blue Raspberry flavor, and there isn’t a huge amount of nutrition at 100mg of protein from the collagen, 7g of carbohydrates, all of that sugar, from dextrose, and 37 calories.
