Aware tackles the mass gainer market with a simple and scalable competitor

Aware Gainer

Aware Nutrition in Sweden has dabbled in all sorts of areas of sports nutrition over the years, from traditional competitors like a blend-style formula, casein, and isolate to some more intriguing efforts like a balanced meal replacement, clear protein, and plant-based. The brand has become a one-stop-shop in the saturated category of protein, offering something for all walks of life, and this week, it has added another to further diversify its selection with a classic, high-calorie mass gainer.

The name of Aware Nutrition’s mass gainer is about what you’d get if you were wanting to communicate the category and core purpose in the name with Aware Gainer. The price of the nutritionally dense supplement is SEK 239 (22.72 USD), which isn’t much, but it also doesn’t have that many servings at 22 regular or 11 if you want those typical mass gainer macros. The brand hasn’t spiced up the menu all that much, launching it in just one lonely flavor with a rich and decadent Chocolate.

As for the all-important nutrition in Aware Gainer, in that double serving tipping the scales at 140g, you get 35g of protein from basic sources like whey and milk concentrate, 67.2g of carbohydrates from another simple source in maltodextrin, 14g of fat, and a sizeable 546 calories. The supplement doesn’t get to the heights of the four-figure calorie gainers we’re more used to seeing, but Aware Nutrition gives you the freedom to scale. At a quadruple serving, Aware Gainer gets you that 1,000 plus calories at exactly 1,092, with the protein still within reason at 70g and carbs up to 134.4g.
