Protein pancake innovator makes a mix to cook protein-packed pancakes in your own kitchen

Nano Supps Pancake Mix

The product that threw Nano Supps into the functional food space and kicked off its run of protein-packed and better-for-you snacks, was Protein Pancake. It is a soft, fluffy, and smooth pancake that’s high in protein and low in sugar, and right at the center for a delicious hit of flavor and break in consistency; there is a gooey filling. Nano’s Protein Pancake was the first we’d seen of its kind and has indeed been followed by many products throughout the years with a similar build and nutrition profile.

Nano Supps has gone and created another protein pancake sort of innovation, although this is not a ready-to-eat item like that original effort. Now available from the European brand is Protein Pancake Mix, a functional powder that you can use to easily create fluffy pancakes packed full of protein in the comfort of your own home. You simply combine the powder with milk or water, stir for a bit until it thickens and becomes a batter, then throw it on the pan and cook as you would traditional pancakes.

The macros on a 50g serving of the dry Nano Supps Protein Pancake Powder include 20g of protein, an equal 20g of carbohydrates, a low 2.9g of that sugar, under 2g of fat, and 181 calories. Obviously, those numbers will change if you mix the product with milk, but they’re not too bad, and indeed, they are much higher in protein than any ordinary pancake batter. The brand is rolling out its innovation across Europe, and with its worldwide reach, you can expect to find it in non-European countries, too.
